芥屋ゴルフ倶楽部

先日、弊社管理物件のオーナー様にお誘いいただき、芥屋ゴルフ倶楽部でプレーする機会をいただきました。言わずと知れた福岡を代表する名門コースであり、プロのトーナメントも開催される由緒あるゴルフ場です。私のようなアマチュアゴルファーにとっては敷居の高い場所で、プレーできる嬉しさと緊張が入り混じったラウンドでした。グリーンの難しさは噂以上で、スコアはお世辞にも満足のいくものではありませんでしたが、それ以上に得るものの多い一日となりました。
「ゴルフは仕事に役立つ」といった話はよく耳にしますが、これまでの自分にはあまり実感のないものでした。
今回、経営者の方々と同じ組でプレーさせていただき、ようやくその言葉の意味を肌で感じることができました。
仕事の話を交えながら数時間を共に過ごす中で、業種の枠を超えた視点や考え方に触れることができたのは大きな刺激でした。お話の内容もさることながら、皆様の所作や姿勢から学ぶことも多く、非常に濃密な時間でした。一方で、今回改めて感じたのは、「ゴルフにはその人の人間性が出る」という点です。自分の番での立ち居振る舞い、他の方のショットを見守る姿勢、キャディさんへの接し方、ルールやマナーに対する意識など、そうした一つひとつがプレーを通じて自然に表れます。
今回は、ご一緒した皆様の誠実で丁寧な立ち振る舞いに感銘を受け、「ぜひこのような方々と仕事をご一緒してみたい」と素直に思える出会いとなりましたが、逆のケースも十分にあり得ると考えると、自身の言動にも一層注意を払わなければと感じました。
改めて、ゴルフは単なる趣味やレクリエーションではなく、ビジネスにおける信頼関係の土台を築く場でもあるのだと実感しています。
今後も、技術的な上達はもちろん、場の空気やマナーにも気を配りながら、こうした貴重な機会を大切にしていきたいと思います。

Recently, I had the opportunity to play at Keya Golf Club, invited by one of the owners of a property we manage. As one of Fukuoka’s most prestigious courses and a host of professional tournaments, it was both an honor and a nerve-wracking experience for an amateur like myself. The greens were tougher than expected, and while my score was far from ideal, it was a day full of valuable lessons.
I’ve often heard that “golf is useful for business,” but this was the first time I truly understood it. Playing alongside business leaders, I was exposed to insights and perspectives beyond my industry. More than the conversations, I learned from their demeanor and the way they carried themselves throughout the round.
What struck me most was how golf reveals a person’s character—how one behaves during their turn, supports others, treats the caddies, and observes etiquette. I was impressed by the sincerity and grace of those I played with, and it made me want to work with people like them. It also reminded me to be mindful of my own behavior.
This experience showed me that golf isn’t just a hobby—it’s a meaningful setting where trust and relationships are built. I hope to continue making the most of such opportunities, growing not only in skill but also in awareness and presence.
